Hi guys,

Just a brief request to those of you who see me. If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so 48 hours in advance (the office policy) by calling 610-626-8085. Also, please add a quick call to me letting me know you are canceling and what’s happening that is leading to your cancellation.

Thanks.

Folks, as of Sunday I am going to be on a retreat/training in Massachusetts.  As I stated before, I’m getting training in clinical hypnosis.  I’ll be away from Sunday 5/16 through Friday 5/21.

If you need to reach me, I will be checking my cell phone in the evenings only.  610 659 2744.

If you need to see someone who is covering for me in person, contact the office at 610 626 8085.

If you are having a psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.

If you have homework from me, don’t forget to work on it, and otherwise just have a good time while I’m away.

New openings.

Just so you know, I now have about 4 openings, some of which are even in the evenings!  If you are interested in speaking with me further, feel free to give me a call at 484-997-TALK to speak to me directly.  Or, to go ahead and schedule an appointment, call 610-626-8085.

Help! My therapist friended me!

This is a very interesting article about the extent to which one’s therapist should get involved in your virtual life on the Internet.

Here’s where I stand.  I don’t friend people on FB who see me as clients.  I think that there needs to be a healthy boundary between client and therapist so that the client can grow and focus on the business at hand.  At the same time, however, I do find reading my clients’ blogs to be helpful in understanding how the client is doing between sessions.  I only do this with permission of the client, however.

Any questions?  Feel free to ask me.

I have a new phone number.

it’s been a while since I’ve posted!
Well, hopefully you guys are still enjoying when I do post, and getting something out of it.

The practice is going pretty well, and I’m starting to consider a waiting list. But don’t give up hope if you are thinking of asking for therapy. I have a number of people who are doing better and may be ready to transition to less sessions per month or are ready for discharge. Feel free to call the office at 610-626-8085 to inquire. I also work with a pretty good team of clinicians, so if I can’t help you, maybe someone else here can.

At this point, I can take Aetna, Highmark, Medicare, Keystone Health Plan East, AmeriHealth. I am applying for TriStar, which is for veterans and military personnel.

So, overall, things have been busy, which is why things have been quiet here.

I will be starting to see people on Thursdays until 5:30pm (when I leave), beginning Oct. 1. So at this point, I see people also from 6-9 on Monday and Wednesdays.
